Hastings Football Connections (a.k.a. Football Boosters, the Board) is a group of parents and football fans who volunteer their time, talents and resources to help our Hastings High School football teams (9th grade, B-Squad, Junior Varsity and Varsity) and strengthen connections within the Hastings community.

We are graduating many seniors as well as many senior parents, which means we have several positions on the board to fill. We need your help! The commitment time is minimal, most positions require time to schedule events in the early summer and then to execute them during the short football season. Board members most often work together and in conjunction with 9-12th grade parents, coaches and players to help execute events and duties. Many parents find that serving on the board is a great way to stay connected to their son’s team and serve the community.
Below is a list and description of all board positions, and the current incumbent who holds the position. If you see a position that interests you, we’d love to hear from you! Please contact Mike O’Connor with questions or to express interest in a position.

PRESIDENT (Mike O’Connor) – provide leadership to the HFC Board, represent HFC within the Hastings community, oversee the “business” responsibilities of the HFC non-profit organization, preside over board meetings, maintain contact with coaches and members, and perform other duties as needed.
VICE PRESIDENT (Vacant) –write and submit information for the newspaper, manage game announcements for home games, coordinate volunteers to distribute milk for each level and game, place milk orders, and perform other duties as needed.
SECRETARY (Sherri Leflay) - record all votes and minutes of board proceedings, schedule board meetings, and coordinate mailings.
TREASURER (Teresa Nelson) – pay bills as received, deposit cash and checks into the bank account, file taxes, prepare report for board meetings, coordinate cash for events (car wash, program sales, golf tournament), and report financials to head coach.
SOCIAL MEDIA/COMMUNICATION (Sara Knoll) – updates Facebook, maintain HFC website, and coordinate communications.
MEMBER @ Large - Fundraising Chair (Vacant) – schedule, coordinate details, and execute the following events: car wash, Chipotle night, Blue/Gold night at Green Mill, meat raffle, and Drive One event.
MEMBER @ Large - Golf Chair (Paul Dotson) – plan, develop, execute annual golf tournament.
GOLF CO-CHAIR (Vacant) – Assist Paul in the planning, development and execution of the annual golf tournament.
EVENT CHAIR (Vacant) – schedule player/parent meeting details, coordinate team dinners (8 games plus playoffs-contact past sponsors, solicit new sponsors if needed, and coordinate desserts with parents).
PROGRAM CHAIR (Vacant) – secure ads with current and potential sponsors and local businesses, coordinate program development and printing with graphic designers, coordinate billing with Treasurer, and coordinate 10th grade players to sell programs at 8 home games.
